Women Networks in Sweden:
• Organization for International Women in Malmö - IQ-net:

IKF in Malmö's network for women entrepreneurs, IQ-net, was founded in 1997.
The network meets regularly so that members can learn from one another and
become better entrepreneurs. Currently about two thirds of the members run
their own company and one third have just started or are thinking of starting
their own business. The organization also offers basic introductory
information on how to start your own business.
• NRC - The Swedish National Federation of Resource Centres for Women:

A ResourceCentre is a meeting place and a
platform for women and its approach is based on local conditions and its
methodology is the empowerment of women. The aim is to strengthen women´s
position and increase women´s influence in society so to be a driving force
for regional development. Today there are 20 Regional (RRC) and around 150
Local Resource Centres (LRC) and Networks in Sweden. Further, NRC co-operates
with NUTEK and works for a society based on equal rights where:
- women take their part in using the resources of the society
- women's competences, experience and perspective are embraced
- women's and men's work are equally valued
- women's influence over the development of the society increases

In 2000 Bizwoman network was founded. The network has grown steadily and ha
today approximately 10,000 female members. The membership is free and a
member of Bizwoman recieve benefits such as: information about meetings and
courses, member's discounts, and practical advice about career- and
personality development and leadership.

The Executive Women Network's mission is to teach women executives how to
'network' in order to achieve success. In 1999, EWN was founded by Kerstin
Höghielm. In addition, Kerstin Höghielm is a former director of the British
Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Sweden. In 2001, EWN had developed a
professional profile that enabled the network to become the prestigious,
well-recognised and successful brand it is today. Today, EWN has more than 85
members. Further, the EWN organises monthly meetings and seminars with
influential persons in the Swedish Economic Society who give their views on
how to be successful in your career.
• Aurora i Lund:

In 2002, the Aurora network was established. Aurora in Lund is a trade
overstepping network that aims to support and inspire women in developing
their own companies. Also, Aurora assists women to become more innovative and
put their ideas into reality in order to promote female entrepreneurial
culture. The network offers activities such as meetings, trainings and
courses. Also, Aurora network is a place where members often learn from each
other and gain business knowledge. Notably, Aurora stresses the importance on
fellowship and security, which is seen as a strength within the network. This
strength can be used to create new business contacts and assist in the
cooperation among members.

Femnet is a competence centre for women that aims to inspire and encourage
female competence development. Further, the goal is to strengthen and develop
female entrepreneurship and intra entrepreneurship. In doing so, Femnet helps
to:
- encourage women to creativity, idea development and driving force
- make project development possible
- create a database of women's knowledge and experiences and to assume from
women's needs and requirement
- increase women's community engagement
- create a virtual and physique place for meetings with aim for developing
women's idea and competence
- use Internet for networking
- work in cooperation with other networks and organizations.
Femnet is an association designed to long-term members, especially women, as
well as other people who want to strengthen women's position in the working
place, in the entrepreneurship and in the community. Hence, Femnet's website
offers links to different female networks in Sweden.
