Mentoring Support in Sweden?

In most cases, an entrepreneur that decides to open up a new enterprise is likely to benefit from taking advice from a mentor in order to avoid problems associated with the opening. In short, the mentor guides and advises the mentee in areas of his/hers expertise. Further, mentoring may be a successful tool to influence learning and human dynamics. Today, mentoring is frequently used in the trade, industry and public sector. The goal is to improve both personal and professional development. In addition, mentorship can be either an informal practice or a formal program. An important element of the mentoring process is to define and facilitate clear learning objectives. The process may begin with a first meeting where both parties (mentor and adept) can discuss their expectations.
Importantly, the mentor should act as a role model and a discussion partner, who can show the possible paths that will help the mentee to progress professionally.

The characteristics of a good mentor is likely to consist of the following:

1- A desire to help
2- Positive experiences
3- Good reputation of helping others to develop
4- Time and energy
5- Up-to-date knowledge
6- Learning attitude
7- Demonstrating effective managerial (mentoring) skills.
