About the Preface Meetings
In the frame of the PREFACE project 4 partnership meetings are planned/made. These meetings stand for important steps of the project:
1st meeting on 13th-14th February 2003
2nd meeting on 27th September 2003 in Halmstad/Sweden (after the search conference)
3rd meeting on 8th-9th October 2004 in Athens/ Greece
Last (4th) meeting on 9th June 2005 in Bologna/ Italy (in front of the final dissemination conference).
The content of the first partnership meeting was:
- to get more knowledge about the project and partners´ different roles
- to discuss and decide the work of the external evaluator
(Internationell kompetens, Mia Swärd/ Kicki Stridh, www.interkompetens.se )
- to discuss and decide following work of the design of a PREFACE logo and website
- to discuss and decide the content of a project dissemination plan
- to start to set up the FOCUS groups in the different countries and
- last but not least to prepare the following project work.
In the second partnership meeting all agreed that:
- The first successful step of the PREFACE project was the search conference which was visited by
about 60 persons (including members of the FOCUS groups).
- The idea behind the conference was to have a shared view of the project.
- Out from the result of the search conference the partners together with their FOCUS groups had to continue their work on national level. They had to develop and test different tools and models on how orient and stimulate student awareness and knowledge about entrepreneurship as a future career.
- Different steps had to be taken in different countries according to different cultures and pre-understanding of the problem.
- The future working methods should be therefore:
the discussion in the FOCUS groups , the digital design (website) and continuing the contacts by e-mail.
- In result the development and test of new pedagogic methods and learning models where the universities and business support systems interact in the process, for example mentor and trainee programmes.
The third partnership meeting was started with an updated version of the work programme. In agreement with the Swedish NA the project will be prolonged until the 30th of June 2005.
The first day was the day for the discussion about the national situation for women entrepreneurship in the different partner countries now and also of the presentation and discussion from different test models. The whole second day was spent on development of the digital PREFACE portal. In result the PREFACE model was created. The model should help the student to clarify the process “from dream to realisation” through 8 themes. The working group leaders (The Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark and Spain) agreed to take the main responsibility for it.
Also main discussion themes in this meeting were the last version for the PREFACE website and in front of the dissemination conference in Bologna in June 2005 the last version of the dissemination plan.
