The mission of Italian Chambers of Commerce consists in carrying out
functions of general interest within the private business system. Each
Chamber carries-out important function in the administrative area (the most
important is “the business register”) offers enterprises a full range of
services to facilitate market intelligence and skilled training, to stimulate
companies and businesses in innovative efforts and to support business trade
relations home and abroad.

Is a general, national and unifying system representing craft businesses and
their entrepreneurs, small and medium sized enterprises and related
associations. The CNA system's purpose is promoting the typical values of

and fully to combine corporate interests and the general interests of Italian
citizens and by actively participating in the development of enterprises and
entrepreneurs.

Federchimica is the abbreviated name of the Italian Federation of the
chemical industry. Founded as the Italian Federation of Chemical Industry
Associations in 1920, it became Aschimici in 1945 and was transformed into
Federchimica in 1984.
At the present time 1.500 companies, with a total of 113.000 employees, are
part of Federchimica. They are grouped into 19 Associations, which in turn
are subdivided into 47 product groups. Federchimica is a member of
Confindustria (General Confederation of the Italian Industry) and CEFIC
(European Chemical Industry Council). Federchimica, whose primary objectives
are the coordination and the protection of the role of the Italian chemical
industry as well as the promotion of its development capacity.

The Federation ANIE, supporter with Confindustria, represents the
electro-technical and electronic enterprises that operate in Italy. Part of
the technological field highly and strongly globalized, it invests huge
resources into research and development. Composed of 12 Associations, ANIE
re-unites strategies that give important aid to the increase of Italy on the
international markets. The Associations and Federation ANIE contribute to the
development of the market of the electro-technical and electronic
enterprises, operating in order to assure clear rules and guidlines. They
favor the competitiveness of the Enterprises associated with reference to the
various factors of production. They maintain the relationships with agencies
and national and communitarian institutions to safeguard the interests of
their field of work. They collaborate with prestigious Italian and
international technical organisations.

Emilia-Romagna Confindustria, founded in 1972, is the main representative
organization of the industrial enterprises of the region. The nine provincial
Industrial Associations of the region are associates of Emilia-Romagna
Confindustria. They are also linked with two associations: the Assopiastrelle
- national Association of the ceramics producers, that it has center in
Sassuolo (Modena), the Ance Emilia-Romagna - Association of building
constructors of the region.

The voice of small and medium sized industries in Emilia Romagna. Unionapi is
a free association made up of the APIs - Associazioni Territoriali delle
piccole e medie imprese dell'Emilia Romagna (Territorial Associations of the
small and medium sized industries in Emilia Romagna). Over 3,500 businesses
with about 80,000 employees are in the association. It concerns companies
with a good earning power, with an average of 23 employees and a strong
propensity for export: 55% are present in the foreign markets. Unionapi works
in close collaboration with the Territorial Apis, which offer services to
their associate companies and contribute to defining strategies and common
objectives in every city. Unionapi intervenes directly on the topics that
concern the whole of the regional production system. It represents the voice
of the companies to the political bodies, and to the economic and
institutional bodies of the Region. Unionapi is thus a point of reference for
all those interlocutors who wish have relations with the small and medium
sized industries of Emilia Romagna.

The National Confederation of Crafts and Small and Medium Sized businesses is
the VOICE of the handicraft industry, of small and medium sized firms and
specialised workers. It represents and safeguards the interests of Provincial
and Sectorial Associations and of its entire membership, with public and
private institutions, Public Administration, and with regional political,
social and economic organizations. The Emilia Romagna Regional CNA Federation
was set up by Provincial Associations, and together with the National
Sectorial Associations and all other Regional Federations, is part of the
system of the National Confederation of Crafts and Small and Medium Sized
businesses. The function of the Emilia Romagna CNA is to provide integration
among the Provincial Associations. It defines regional financial policy,
promotes industrial relations and drafts industrial agreements.

of Commerce, Tourism and Services: it is linked with approximately 65 000
enterprises which are run by emiliano inhabitants of Romagna. The
Confcommercio Emilia Romagna is found in 16 Regional Organisations of the
same category, 11 Territorial Associations and 100 delegates in the area: in
total an system of approximately 1 200 people are assigned.

association of the nine Chambers of Commerce of the region (Bologna, Ferrara,
Forlì-Cesena, Modena, Parma, Piacenza, Ravenna, Reggio Emilia and Rimini); it
carries out functions of address, representation and coordination of a system
that employs approximately 850 people, and invests beyond 118 million Euros
for development and the economy. Objectives of Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna is
to promote the consolidation of the Chambers of Commerce of the region, and
to value the contribution given to the increase of our economy.
