Common Sites Of Use To Most EU Countries

WiTEC-the European Association for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology
WiTEC was formed as a network in 1988 and after more than ten years of networking and project activities related to women and SET, established itself as a non-profit European association in May 2001. Currently there are 13 WiTEC national network co-ordinators based in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.

WiTEC has the following aims at European level:

  • to increase the number of girls and women studying SET subjects and to help them progress to related careers
  • to develop women's technical and entrepreneurial skills through training initiatives and projects
  • to create information exchanges and networking opportunities for women in SET
  • to promote and support research into areas relating to women in SET
  • to support initiatives to promote the Gender Mainstreaming Policy
  • to promote regional, national and international awareness and interest in this field.
Global Women Inventors & Innovators Network
GWIIN is a global network which aims to increase the number of innovative women embracing enterprise. GWIIN works with Government departments, leading industry experts, voluntary organisations, enterprises and educational institutions. Its goal is to find effective ways of bringing support, assistance, tools, advice and information to assist women in achieving significant growth in their businesses.

Global Fund for Women
The Global Fund for Women is a grantmaking foundation supporting women's human rights organizations around the world working to address critical issues such as gaining economic independance, increasing girls' access to education and stopping violence against women.
